What is a matriarchal brand?
At Hadley Pollet, matriarchal means women and children at the center and everyone holding hands. How that shapes every belt and bag we make.

Matriarchal doesn't mean women at the top. At Hadley Pollet, it means women and children at the center, with everyone else in circles around them. In Hadley's words, everybody holds hands. We build the business on nurturing, shared leadership, and helping the whole world spiral up, one hand-colored trim at a time.
A matriarchal business model centers nurturing, shared leadership, and empowerment. It isn't a ladder with someone new at the top, and it is never about leaving anyone out. It's a circle. When the women and children at its heart thrive, everyone holding hands around them rises too.
Hadley's mission has been the same since day one: “Our mission is to inspire peace, love, and joy in women’s lives.”
That circle reaches every partner we work with, from the boutiques that carry us to the yacht and country clubs we create with. Each one is celebrated for exactly who they are, and every partnership rests on the same values: integrity, truth, love, and uplifting people. Hadley dreams of a movement of compassionate collaboration, with “NO greed. Only collaboration and a sharing of the benefits of that work together, to create a better world.”
We work hand in hand with artisans, not massive factories, and we help educate them. We prefer workshops owned by women or by small families, and about 80% of the workshops we partner with are female-owned. Hadley and her team visit them to see that the work is ethical and fair, and that women are paid equally to the men in their families. We have declined to work with a workshop until a wife was paid.
In Hadley's words: “I personally know every factory we source from, who owns it, who partakes in the profits, how they produce products and, even more importantly, that there are kind, powerful women behind all the hard work who are treated equally to men.”
The circle keeps growing. We mentor young women through in-house internships, speaking engagements, podcasts, and girls' empowerment programs in our local communities. “One of my favorite things to do is to uplift women and children and see them thrive. It’s in my blood and embedded in the purpose of our brand and everything we do.”
Every Hadley Pollet belt and bag begins with a trim Hadley colors by hand before it becomes a textile. Belts are reversible. Handbags have lots of pockets and colorful linings, so nothing gets lost. Everything is limited edition. And every piece carries a little of that circle with it: the women who made it, the woman who wears it, and the love in between.

Never. It isn't about who sits at the top. Everybody holds hands, and when the center thrives, the whole circle rises.

Unique is chic.
